Meet Rick Tullis
Rick is a follower of Jesus, husband to his wife of 31 years, father to 4 incredible young men, entrepreneur and business owner, community volunteer, school board trustee, an advocate for career and technology education, problem solving engineer, leader that leaves things better than he found them, and has lived in McLennan County since 1987.
He is the former President and founding partner of Capstone Mechanical, from which he retired in 2023. Professionally, Rick spent his career in the HVAC, plumbing, piping, and building automation sector where he was involved in engineering, contracting, and manufacturing. Under his leadership, Capstone grew to 225 team members that executed projects across the state of Texas.
He received a B.S in Mechanical Engineering from Baylor in 1993. In retirement, Rick spends time serving in the community in the following ways: Trustee for the Midway Independent School District since 2013, Executive Board of Advisors for the Greater Waco Advanced Manufacturing Academy, Chairman of the Public Policy Committee for the Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce, Co-Chair of the Advisory committee for the new TSTC/City of Waco/McLennan County collaboration called WorkSITE, and Chairman of the Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce Community Foundation.
